> OZZIE GREENWELL
Ozzie isn't a very good person, But he isn't aware of this. He does not understand the concept of empathy: He did at one point, but something in him... Changed.
He lost his parents at a young age, getting adopted by the parents of his best friend, Edward Greenwell, Which he does not remember very well. He just assumed his parents went away on a trip and left him with his friend. His new parents changed his last name, and he eventually forgot his original parents all together.
He grew up normally, apart from being an orphan. He was a part of the baseball team during his elementary school years, being known for his talent at running quickly & quick reaction times. He was generally well-liked by his classmates, and a lot of them came to his ninth birthday party: Not knowing he'd be gone not less than a week later.
"SEE HOW I LAUGH AT YOU? NO, YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND."
> PERSONALITY.INFO
He is very unserious in his general disposition, he often giggles when people are in distress- He finds it funny, not because he enjoys watching others suffer or be in pain, but because he does not understand it- At all. He does not understand the concept of terror, sadness, or guilt; At least not anymore.
There was a time when he did feel these things: Longing, a want for things to go well, to come out of this alive. Fear, wondering what would happen to him in those winding, twisting hallways that deceived him into being something he was trying to avoid. Sadness, the worry of how his family would feel, and a mix of all three when he wondered if he'd be able to see his brother again. That was all he wanted.
He was just a child when it happened, when he made that mistake; and he would have grown up to be a completely different person if things didn't go wrong, if he wasn't stripped of his empathy.
If he didn't fall into deceit.
> HISTORY.INFO
He eventually learnt to become one with the very hallways he had become trapped in, he figured out how to manipulate and twist the wallpaper that changed colours and moved every time you closed your eyes, he figured out how to make the doors that lined the labyrinth lead to places that never existed- And he learnt how to get out.
It only took 19 years.
And he also learnt how to trap others.
He discovered that the way of entrance to the very place he had spent the majority of his young life- a majority of which he spent doing absolutely nothing, as there was no concept of fear, hunger, or sleep- could be opened. He still had an ounce of feeling then, and used it to try to find his brother, who he had missed very, very much.
He figured out where he worked, and put one of his doors right at the exit, knowing he was going to leave early to do some weird cloud gazing- And it worked.
But he forgot how to feel, and forgot why he'd trapped him.
> PRESENTDAY.INFO
Completely forgetting why he had trapped his brother in the hallways, he just chose to watch. He watched as his brother struggled and cried for help, how he shifted and changed over the years- Something Ozzie had only noticed happened to himself after he watched his brother for a while. He took a look at himself, noticing the scars on his face from when he tried to gouge his eyes out from panic, his hands, which could now, oddly, seemingly at his will, lengthen into claws. Interesting..
Stepping out of a door he had manifested himself, he found himself in a graveyard. It was night time, and the weather was nice. But he wasn't alone.
There was another person there, a woman who was quietly putting a bouquet of flowers on a grave while softly humming to herself. And Ozzie thought she looked cool. She had an.. Interesting face. He liked how it looked. So he decided to say hello. He didn't realize how quiet he was walking until he tapped on her shoulder and she, seemingly in less than a second, managed to tackle him to the ground.
Ozzie doesn't remember what happened in the time in between then and what happened next, but the next thing he knew, he was standing over a dead body with a mutilated face. And he had blood all over his clothes- And hands, now sharp and pointed.
And he had the sudden, overpowering urge to... Change. His head was killing him. The crows began circling overhead. The sky began to brighten.
He only realized his appearance had changed into the woman he had met in the graveyard whilst he was running away. He had never worn a dress before.

Contains story spoilers! Read the literatures in order to get the storyline as it was intended- This is just so the storyline is on Ozzie's page!
META INFO:
rRule Four was the first of a set of literatures I released that contained a plotline. I generally released one each week, usually on Fridays, to keep a nice schedule for my friend Tim to follow. I've picked up a habit of just referring to the entire storyline as 'Rule Four', Despite rule four being only one of four main literatures, the others being Rule 21, We'll meet again, and Dream Sweet In Sea Major. You can find the literatures here, they are best read in order. (lowest -> highest) https://toyhou.se/24334188.0-ozzie/literatures
ACTUAL STUFF, CONTINUES FROM PRESENTDAY.INFO!:
Ozzie spent his days after this event wandering around quietly, lurking around alleys and standing in shadows just out of reach. Through his own, odd experimentation, he discovered he was able to shape-shift into those who died. He also discovered that he was able to hold far more accurate forms when he, himself, either knew the person or took them out himself, so he mainly aimed to find people he found looked the most interesting.
It was when he decided to be a bit more bold he discovered someone that was somehow even more interesting than the others. He'd decided, On a whim, to sneak into an office building, to maybe see if any of the employees were of interest. It's ironic, because the building he chose was immensely boring in nature- All of the walls were painted in drab greyscales and beiges, and all of the furniture was industrial with not a sense of charm. It was just so... Boring.
But the people there weren't.
He managed to sneak into a conference room, coincidentally while there was a meeting going on. There were only three people at the meeting, not counting himself- Two of them seemed very invested in an argument, and the third was awkwardly sitting there with a small stack of papers, clip-boards, and books, and wrote something down every now and again. He wasn't the man Ozzie was so intently watching, though.
One of the men who were exchanging glares and passive-aggressive insults was the one Ozzie found so intriguing. He was tall, almost freakishly so, and had a certain feeling about him that was... odd to Ozzie. He was very clearly sleep deprived, or at least tired, but he continued his argument with the sort of activity you'd expect from someone fully awake. Why was this the case? Ozzie kept watching.
The guy was odd. But not as odd as himself, Ozzie supposed. He decided that he'd found the person he was looking for. The height might be an issue, as Ozzie was only around average height himself, meaning it'd be something he'd have to get used to. He decided he'd wait until after the meeting.
While watching, his perspective seemed to shift in a different, nearly the opposite, direction. He went from wanting to kill him to turn into him to wanting to talk to him. He was so intriguing- Ozzie had never felt this way about anyone, never mind just some random guy he met at a meeting he wasn't even supposed to be at. He attempted to convince himself that he didn't feel this way, but he failed. He decided he'd make a move after the meeting, and began thinking up an excuse.
He was too busy attempting to come up with a reasonable thing to say to notice that he'd left the room on a bathroom break- When he finally started paying attention again, he realized that the other man Daniel was arguing with seemed to be messing with the shaky guy, Who Ozzie had learnt was named Claire, or Angel. He was referred to as both during the meeting's duration.
Ozzie wasn't able to tell whether or not the guy was doing something malicious or not, but based off of Claire's body language, he assumed the worst. He didn't care, why would he? That wasn't who he was after, But Ozzie took note of it for later; If he did end up dying, he could use that as a shape-shifting opportunity.
When Daniel came back, he seemed pissed- It was clear now that harm had been done, and after the third attendee was allowed to leave to go home, things escalated. Daniel shot at the other man out of rage, making Ozzie flinch- He didn't see what happened, But the next thing he knew, they were both on the ground. Only one had survived. And Ozzie had an idea.
It was clear Daniel had fallen victim to Something, What it was, Ozzie didn't know. But he had a feeling, an odd superstition, that he had a way to fix it.
He made his presence known, and approached Daniel, giving him an offer. If he followed Ozzie into the spiral, his life would be saved.
And he took it.

Because he is a shapeshifter, his features are constantly changing: From slight variations in height or even a missing eyelash to completely incorrect facial features or incorrect scar placement. He will never look the exact same twice, and when he is tired, he fucks up his shapeshifting even more. Once, to the horror of those that witnessed it, he had completely forgotten his head, and it was similar to a "black void with a single eye peeking out". Those that have witnessed this have not been able to repeat this description when asked.
His "Base form," The one that most accurately resembles himself before ever being able to shape shift, is what he most commonly looks like. It's unsure which details of these are inaccurate or are mistakes, as even he doesn't know. His base form has dark skin, and he is a bit below average height-wise. He has textured hair that seems to be dyed only on the right side, the left half of his hair remaining his natural colour, a greyish black.
His eyes are rather creepy, himself always seeming to stare. He has a real staring problem…
"BUT THAT ISN'T TRUE, IS IT? IT NEVER WAS. NOT THAT YOU'D KNOW, SILLY!"
> TRIVIA.TXT
Can shapeshift into others, But always gets 1-4 things wrong as hes doing it purely by memory. theyre very convincing though, he has *really* good memory.
The person has to be dead. He kills people so he can shapeshift into them. Also counts for avatars who had to die to become an avatar, eg. Oliver Banks, meaning he can shapeshift into someone like him.
Touched by end and slaughter due to last 2, eye due to exposure
Though Ozzie has lost his empathy, he sometimes experiences “emotional echoes” from the people he shape-shifts into. These echoes are like brief, overwhelming waves of emotion that he doesn’t fully understand but instinctively reacts to.
Ozzie’s feelings toward Daniel are the closest thing he has to human attachment. Despite not fully understanding his emotions, he feels a protective urge towards Daniel.
There’s a shadow that Ozzie sometimes sees out of the corner of his eye. It’s a figure that looks vaguely familiar, yet he can never get a clear look at it. This shadow only appears when Ozzie is alone, and while it doesn’t interact with him directly, its presence always fills him with an odd mix of dread and nostalgia. Ozzie suspects that this shadow is tied to the part of himself he lost in the labyrinth, but he can’t be sure.
He has developed a peculiar palate over the years, preferring foods that others would find odd or even repulsive. He’s drawn to sour, bitter, and metallic tastes.
Ozzie has a secret hideaway in an abandoned building that he stumbled upon shortly after escaping the spiral. This room, filled with dusty furniture, worked as a subsitute for a home prior to moving in with Daniel. It’s also where he kept mementos from those he’s shape-shifted into; small items like watches, rings, or pieces of clothing that he finds particularly interesting.
His ability to shape-shift isn’t limited to physical appearance. He can also mimic the voices, mannerisms, and even the handwriting of the people he transforms into.
Ozzie sometimes sees the faces of the people he’s killed in reflective surfaces. They appear not as themselves but as distorted, ghostly images. He’s learned to ignore them, but their appearances are growing more frequent...
Him and Daniel's ship name is Medical Malpractice
