My unorganized organized notes on my Crptid Batman AU
  • - batman and bruce are the same person. but bruce is human and batman is a cryptid
  • - batman started off as a being cursed to be trapped in the bat cave. batman is made of hope and protection for gotham but he was cursed to allow gothams chaos to run supreme.
  • - bruce first discovered batman when he fell down that well into the bat cave.
  • - after bruce’s training with the league he goes back to the bat cave and finds batman again. the two work out a relationship eventually and combine as one being. so they can both protect gotham.
  • - they’re the same mind but batman is a bit more animalistic.
  • - batman’s costume can be seen as skin or well a costume. he can use his wings to flutter, float a little, or glide. but he can’t really fly. batman doesn’t have super powers just a whole lot of will power. and intimidation bc bros a big spooky bat cryptid.
  • - batman makes a lot of weird sounds. some from being a cryptid but others just bird calls bc he and the birds (robins, batkids, all that sort) have their own secret language when going through gotham. batman is used to that.
  • - bruce is like super socially awkward. except while as brucie.
  • - batman’s ears can flick and fold and all that sort.
  • - how batman turns back to bruce. i imagine it’s like a magical girl transformation lol. but it’s like a bunch of bats fluttering around and bam there’s bruce. very convenient.
  • - does bruce make weird sounds too? uhhh idk haven’t thought of that.
  • - no idk how batman cryptid and bruce combined. it’s a fun au so i don’t care
  • - cryptid originally bat blob lol. i love bat blob. predator behavior? mayhaps
  • - fangs. the media and internet think bruce is a vampire or joke about it because he has fangs.
  • - always black nails? i wonder if they would work like claws. that’s fun. i like that.
  • - bruce has a birthmark on each of his palms that look like the paw pads. bc that’s cute
  • - suit claws non retractable but outside they are
  • - i feel like the suit sort of works like venom. where something can be pulled back. this the face part. but the suit is still a part of his body.
  • - bat wing shapes when suit is removed or adjusts.
  • - batman has all sorts of tools in his belt but he carries an assortment of snacks for his batkids and for any person he finds on patrol. (and maybe a little for himself)
  • - the main snacks are gummies. granola. lollipops. and meat sticks.
  • - i like to think that in some nights all the batkids pile up together with bruce and its hair a big cuddle pile. cryptid part enjoys this probably something to do with animal pack behavior.
