About

Affliated (The leader of) a group called the Blackwater Builders, a rogue faction of engineers/salvagers who operate on the edges of maps, harvesting scrap from destroyed arenas and weaponizing it. They build mid-fight, They steal parts from opponents, They treat combat like construction warfare. (Based on Build A Boat For Treasure)

His gear (The Captian's Flintlock) Is something he crafted himself from scrap. He forged weapons for his own crew, as well as his brother, Sherrif.

Captain and his group are known for not only pilfering already destroyed areas, but stealing from people, getting them in trouble with the law. Captain has had his fair share of interactions with the Bounty Hunter and her friends.

The Blackwater Builders were originally failed competitors who couldn’t keep up in raw combat; So they adapted, learning to build instead of fight fair. Now they run underground operations before their Phights; Mostly illegally. Some of the crew are known for rigging matches.

Captain is actually against the rigging himself. He's big on honour and winning fights fairly; but he's protective of his crew no matter how they phight.

Personality

Despite leading a crew known for cheating, rigging, and underhanded tactics, Captain is almost stubbornly against it for himself. He won’t rig his own fights. Won’t take an easy win. It creates a strange tension where he doesn’t stop them, but he doesn’t join them either.

He hates being underestimated, but not for pride reasons. It annoys him. To him, Not paying attention is the same as being careless.

He has a soft spot he doesn’t like being noticed; he values competence a lot, respects people who earn their strength, and he is… unexpectedly gentle with those who remind him of earlier versions of himself Not kind in an obvious way. Just… less harsh.
